With this option I replace the input cable with 40amp 8 gauge Super Flexible rubber cable and a 14-50 plug. All 40amp units have a cable already included as shown and it's value has been calculated into the upgrade's prices. Any 40amp or lower product may be upgraded with the Super Flexible rubber cable by adding this option, for example the Adapter #128

Note: Due to the larger cable diameter the cable grip is changed to a larger off- white plastic one, the metal or black plastic ones shown on Buddy boxes and other products here cannot accommodate the large 6 gauge cable diameter. This upgrade is for 40amp products or 50amp products you intend to run at a reduced rate from a wall outlet fed by a 40amp breaker. It can also be added to 30amp products that you wish to plug into NEMA 14-50 outlets
